Jonathan D. Slothower, D.O.

Jonathan Slothower is a board certified pediatrician. A native of Utah County, he received his bachelors degree from Brigham Young University. He went to medical school at Touro University Nevada, and did his pediatric residency at Strong Memorial Hospital/University of Rochester in Rochester, New York.

As an eagle scout himself, he enjoys the outdoors including volunteer work with the Boy Scouts of America. He also enjoys cooking with his wife and three children. Favorite quote: “Women go into pediatrics because they like children, men go into pediatrics because they are children.”

Chad M. Francom, PA-C

After graduating from the University of Utah my wife and I relocated to the Elko area. My wife Jennifer and I have two children, Makell and Josh. Some of our most enjoyable time is spent with our 2 little grandchildren. When not with our family we enjoy camping and fishing, as well as traveling to warm destinations.

I have been a Firefighter/Paramedic for 15 years now and still spend time each month working for a community in Utah.

Throughout my time in EMS and most recently practicing in family medicine, I have truly enjoyed my time with the pediatric community. Seeing healthy happy smiling faces is what gets me to work each day.  I am excited to be a part of Slothower Pediatrics for many years to come.

Steffainy Hefley, PA-C

Steffainy Hefley, MPA, PA-C is a nationally certified physician assistant through the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA). She achieved her Bachelor of Science in Biology from California Baptist University where she had the opportunity to travel to do missions trips to China and Taiwan to meet the needs of the various underserved communities.

After graduation, Steffainy became an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) then became an emergency room medical scribe for 4 years. Steffainy earned her Master's in Physician Assistant from Loma Linda University in California. While in PA school, she had the opportunity to provide care to an underdeveloped community in Mexico that had limited medical provisions. Prior to joining the Premise Healthcare team, Steffainy worked at a stand-alone emergency room as an Emergency Medicine Physician Assistant in Chandler, Arizona where she primarily worked hand in hand with various COVID patients.

Steffainy moved to Elko in February 2021 with her husband. She is enthusiastic about being able to serve the children of Elko and their families. She is most looking forward to being able to connect with her patients in order to provide them with the best care.

Jill 2

Hello, my name is Jill. I am a United States Marine Corps veteran and a proud mother of three. I was raised in Elko and graduated from Elko High School. In my spare time, I enjoy anything from staying at home and watching crime documentaries to being outdoors. Fishing is slowly becoming a new favorite hobby of mine and the kids. Volunteering my time to my local and tribal community is also very near and dear to me.

I enjoy the administrative field but have always had a passion to further help others as well. In 2022, I obtained my certificate in medical coding and billing from Great Basin College. I look forward to being able to incorporate both passions to provide quality service to you and your family. I am beyond excited to be a part of the Slothower team and getting the opportunity to become a familiar face to you and your children and help in any way that I can!
